The difference between "Equivalent" filters

A few year ago we set out to see what filters our oil customers were using and make some basic recommendations based on the obvious. To do this we went out and bought a dozen different "equivalents" of the PH8-A that is used on more than 3000 cars, pickups, SUV's, agricultural equipment and city buses.

Here we have identified the country of origin when it was available. Some of these filters are made in different countries, so the results could vary.

Nota: Este estudio fue hecho en Santa Cruz Bolivia en el año 2001 y 2002 con adiciones en el año 2005 y 2007 con filtros comprados de las tiendas. No pretende ser un estudio científico. En general, se cortó una sola muestra de cada marca. Las medidas son aproximadas. Se recomienda al usuario que tenga cuidado en la compra de filtros.
