This is what I did with the interior, starting with the Fatmat that I put on a while ago, and the seats that have been waiting for quite some time. I also include a picture of the door handle I made from aluminum when the one I ordered never arived.
On top of the Fatmat, I put a layer of fiber padding, and then the carpet, bought locally by the meter. I decided tan would go well with the brown and white interior. Also found a very light beige collored material for the headliner.
In one of the pictures you can see the shoulder belts I put on for the front seat passengers, and in others you can see the lap belts for the rear passengers.
For the music, I put two speakers in the rear shelf with foam boxes behind them, and speakers under the dash on both sides.
Then I found a left over gear shift boot from my mini project, and cut some 1 mm stainless steel to make a base, or trim plate. This is held in place with Velcro.
For the windlace, I used a type that provides an extra weather seal.
I also wanted some better proteccion for the sills, so I took a sheet of stainless to a local guy to fold according to the template I made. Then I cut them to length, sanded, rounded edges, and polished. In one set of pictures you can see without and then with the stainless sills.
Finally, I put a layer of Dynamat Hoodliner on the firewall to absorb engine sounds, and a piece of reiforced rubber between the springs and foam to keep the foam from rubbing.
